SEO For Dummies
I like to analyze my stats for b!c! every once in a while. It’s the blogging equivalent of standing in front of the mirror, sucking in your gut and flexing. It’s largely vanity but can also give me some insight on how others see me, or b!c! at least.
One of the sections that is most interesting is the keyword analysis. It shows me people that landed at b!c! through search engines and what they searched for. SEO type people live and breathe this stuff, I just like to see what it is that makes me stand out on Google.
The top search is generally tattoos and surprisingly, El Yanqui is number two. My goal is to get El Yanqui to be as popular as El Greco; Considering he’s dead and can’t do much more to improve his fame, the momentum is mine.
Here are some top searches from last week:
lesbianlove
Big Boob Europeans
Guinness tipping ad help
graffiti pics
hate extra cold Guinness
british boob movies
onstage lesbian denmark
dog grapes prognosis
grapes in mouth at once record (I hope these last two aren’t related)
I also got quite a lot of hits with regards to the Macbook Air, but they’re all pretty similar.
I’m beginning to get a feel for my demographic. I’m popular with Mac geeks who like Guinness (but not Extra Cold) and love lesbians. Especially lesbians with big boobs. And most especially, European lesbians with big boobs.
Of course by writing about lesbians and big boobs, I’m ensuring I’ll get more hits from people searching for lesbians with big boobs. This SEO stuff is easy!

People often search a lot of weird stuff.

But have you ever checked out the Buzz or hot searches pages, and then actually searched for some of that crazy stuff yourself? Too much time, too little sense

LOL…try writing also about medications and other stuff.
On the other hand, ranking for unrelated keywords is a sign of trust. Google trust your blog
SO don’t worry, be happy

I googled “big boobed tattooed lesbians drink guinness” in hopes of getting your site….I don’t even want to get into what results I did receive - sadly (?) no brilliant cheers. I guess your virtue is still somewhat safe.

Hey Elle,
Must not be updated yet. Or something like that.
That is such an awesome search query though, I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t show. I’ll have to include more references to them in posts.
If you searched for that at work I hope you cleared your search history.

Once I get my Flickr account sorted again, I’ll be sure to post your picture.
In the meantime, I notice my unique visitor numbers are increasing. Although they don’t seem to be staying too long.

there r a lot of people who search the most weirdest things on the net. although the surveys might say that NFL is the most searched keyword, but reality is far from that.

People always get to my site with crazy keywords. However I don’t care. If google wants to send me extra traffic, thats fine with me.
