In Small Bills, Please

I really don’t have much to add to this story to make it funnier; though I am curious if he wrote a check for his bail.

FORT WORTH, Texas - Charles Ray Fuller must have been planning one big record company. The 21-year-old North Texas man was arrested last week for trying to cash a $360 billion check, saying he wanted to start a record business. Tellers at the Fort Worth bank were immediately suspicious — perhaps the 10 zeros on a personal check tipped them off.

Fuller, of suburban Crowley, was arrested on a forgery charge. He was released after posting $3,750 bail.

Fuller said his girlfriend’s mother gave him the check to start a record business. But bank employees who contacted the account’s owner said the woman told them she did not give him permission to take or cash the check.

In addition to the forgery count, Fuller was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and possessing marijuana. Officers reported finding less than two ounces of marijuana and a .25-caliber handgun and magazine in his pockets.

It’s amazing to me that given all of the technology law enforcement has for tracking this stuff, that people are still stupid enough to try to pull these lamebrain stunts off…maybe he should watch Oceans 11…at least that was clever. What a Knit Wit!

Let’s put this in perspective on $360 billion dollars… The market capitalization of GOOGLE is $181 billion. This means that this “record company” he wanted to start would be twice the worth of Google!

  6. Elvis Kovacic Says:

Hehehe…cashing out the $360 billion??? Whoa! I never imagined that it is possible. Perhaps the guy is just clueless about the real value of money…or maybe he is just trying if his idea will work…or maybe he is completely out of his mind :) …but he is scary knowing that he is carrying a .25-caliber handgun and magazine in his pockets.

That’s what marijuana can do to people. That guy is a real joke. You can’t get even $360k in cash without prior arrangements and large sums generally do not move in cash. That’s the dummiest forgery I have heard of.

Makes for a good laugh. He must of smoked some pretty good stuff to think he could EVEN try to cash a check that big. With a hand gun its strange he’s bail was so small, but then again you are in Texas.
