Careful With Your XBOX Live Gamertag
Xbox live has banned Richard Gaywood’s gamertag because he used his real name. When it was proven that Richard Gaywood was indeed his legal name, Microsoft still banned it.
This is certainly just one more insult to add to the undboubtedly long list that began in childhood. Poor Dick Gaywood. Victim of exceptionally cruel or clueless parents.
No word yet on the fate of Amanda Huggenkiss and Hugh Jass’ Xbox accounts.

Father wanted to call his son Junior. What a dick…

I heard about this story. The fact that he’s proved his identity and they STILL banned his account is despicable.
I always find it funny how Xbox fans will stick up and defend MS. I suppose they are from a younger generation that doesn’t remember MS’s draconian business practices.
Now they’re suffering from a $1 billion console design flaw and what I’m guessing is a $X-billion screw up of an operating system. The failed Zune is probably costing them xxx-million that they’ll never recover. Will we see a humbler MS in the future? Not while MS Office covers their loses. But those days are numbered.

Not sure what to think about banning people for using their real names… leaves a sore taste I’d say. And about MS days being numbered not really sure it will happen all that fast.

Poor guy, he can’t help his name.

I think the comments on here are almost as funny as the ones on the original link! I don’t play X Box hardly but I never knew you could get a ban from playing it! That right there cracks me up. Good luck to Microsoft if they think they can ban every name that sounds bad. That would be a whole lot of work!

The worst part out of all of this is that this kid has problem gone through this his whole life and teased beyond belief. Can you just imagine that day all he wanted to play some Xbox after rough day at school and gets banned for using his name. Poor kid.

Another incident of MS being MS was when they took a kid’s domain name from him. The kid was named Mike Rowe and had setup a design site called Mike Rowe Soft. Google it for the rest of the story.
